There are 3 ways to apply for a New Zealand Tourist Visa: counter application, courier application and online application. I will discuss online application.
NEW ZEALAND VISA APPLICATION ONLINE GUIDE
The online application is similar to Australia Visa Online Application. The difference is, in New Zealand Visa application, original passport is required to be submitted to VFS Center.
1. Create an Account here. Make sure you have a valid email address and cell phone number.
2. Check your email and verify. Make sure to do this process within 2 weeks as the link expires after 14 days.
3. Once you have verified your email address, start answering all the questions. You do not need to answer them all at once. You can save and be back again later.
4. The online application can be completed not necessarily following the order of pages after the first 2 pages.
5. Upload all documents in your online application including your ID photo (preferably passport size or 2 x 2, white back ground, neutral face). Documents must be .pdf file and photo must be .jpg file. Make sure to prepare your documents properly.
You can always change your answers provided it’s not yet submitted.
NEW ZEALAND VISA REQUIREMENTS to be uploaded online
1. Passport size ID picture – white background and neutral face. Upload in .jpg file
2. Passport bio page – the page with your personal information. This will support your “Identity.” Upload in .pdf file
3. All pages of your passport with visas and immigration stamps – this will support your “Genuine Intentions” of visiting New Zealand. You get better chances of having your application approved if you have Australian Visa already. Note that all your previous/valid visas and other immigration stamps should only be in 1 file. Do not upload separately per visa. Upload in .pdf file
4. NBI clearance – must not be more than 6 months and valid for travel aboard. This will support your “Character.” Upload in .pdf file
5. Evidence of sufficient funds – this will support your “Funds.” Make sure that all documents are in 1 file and upload everything in a single file. Include the following as proof of Sufficient Funds:
6. Bank Certificate – amount must be 32,000/month (1000 NZD/montht) of stay. The higher the better. At the very least, do not provide a Bank certificate with less than a hundred thousand pesos.
7. Bank Statement for the past 6 months
8. CONFIRMED ticket. Yes, you read it right. Confirmed ticket. Not reservation only. Hence, ensure that your other documents are sufficient enough to get you a visa. Otherwise, you’ll waste your ticket. It’s very risky but that’s the requirement
9. CONFIRMED hotel reservation. Like your air ticket, your hotel must also be confirmed. Attach your Hotel voucher.
10. Detailed day to day itinerary
11. Employment certificate of business documents
12. BIR forms and proofs of tax payments
13. Credit card statements, if any
14. Affidavit of support and financial documents of the person executing the affidavit, if someone is paying for your expenses.
Once you have uploaded everything, and reach “Thank You” part, it means the end of the online application process.
Check your email for instructions on how to send your passport and the printed confirmation.

TAKE NOTE
1. Visa is free provided your stay is less than 59 days. However, handling fees and courier fees will be charged by VFS and your travel agent. It is always better to get the services of a professional travel agency because they can make the necessary assessment and help in preparing your right documents. You get better chances of getting your application approved if you’re doing and submitting the right thing. You may contact travel@j8travelservices.com for visa assistance.
2. Processing time may take up to 1 month if it’s your first time to travel to New Zealand. However, if you have travelled before and have been to other OECD countries, processing time will only take 5 days or less.
3. You will receive an email, call or text once your passport is ready for pick up at VFS. Pick up can only be done 2-4PM, Mondays to Fridays.
4. Plan ahead of time and consult a professional travel agent since New Zealand visa application is a bit different compared to other countries.

Since New Zealand is geographically close to Australia, I have decided to visit the Land of the Kiwis on my trip to the Land Down Under. Like in Australia, Filipinos are required to obtain a visa prior to arrival. I applied for New Zealand Tourist Visa after I have been given a Visa Grant Notice by the Australian Embassy in Manila. I have read in several blog posts that securing a New Zealand Visa is easier if one is already granted an Australian Visa.
REQUIREMENTS WHEN APPLYING FOR NEW ZEALAND TOURIST VISA
1. Duly accomplished Application Form INZ 1017.
2. Original and valid passport
3. Confirmed and paid ticket out of New Zealand to a country where one has a right to stay. Meaning, whether or not the Embassy will grant or deny an applicant a visa, the ticket to be presented must be valid and not a mere reservation. Hence, it’s a risk an applicant has to take. The confirmed ticket I presented is Sydney – Auckland – Gold Coast – Manila.
4. Proof of financial capacity, like bank certificate and recent credit card statements that you have 1,000 New Zealand Dollars per month of stay (roughly 37,000.00). Of course, it is better to submit a financial document higher than they require. I submitted a bank certificate from BDO 10x higher than their monthly requirement
5. Confirmed Hotel booking
6. ID picture for New Zealand Visa
7. Secondary requirement (though not necessarily required but can be submitted to support said application are the following: work related papers such as certificates of employment, leave, and salary (for employed applicants) and business documents such as DTI/SEC, BIR, Mayor’s Permit for self-employed applicants
8. Over and above these requirements, an applicant must be in good health, in good character, fits the purpose of coming to New Zealand and a bonafide temporary visitor.

Visa is free if intended stay is 59 days or less. If more than 59 days, 5,800.00 will be paid by the applicant. Their official processing partner charges a fee of 1,000.00 to be paid in the form of Manager’s Cheque payable to ‘PIASI’. A 300.00 will be charged for pick-up and delivery services to be paid directly to Air21. Before submitting, call first PIASI as they will schedule when will Air21 pick up the documents. Processing time is not less than 15 working days. A text message and email will be sent by the embassy once they receive the papers. They will also conduct interview over the phone so make sure to answer your phones. They called me in the landline I gave on a holiday.
In the phone interview, the lady who called asked the following:
1.Length of my stay
2. Places I wanted to visit and why
3. Why New Zealand
4. What is my work and other personal circumstances
5. Who will pay for my trip
6. What countries I have visited in the last 2 years. I was asked if I have been to Africa.
The phone interview lasted for about 3 minutes. After the interview, the lady told me that I just have to wait for my passport. Two days after, I already got my passport with visa label on it. All other documents I submitted were not returned.
After 5 days, I received an email asking me to answer their Survey Form. I gave them a good remarks.

Ang alam ko depende un sa conditions ng visa mo kung pwede dun na sa NZ palitan ng student or working visa.. Pero sa pag kakaalam ko kapag may general tourist visa ka and hindi limited visa, pwede un mapalitan ng working pag may nagbigay sayo ng job offer. Or mapalitan ng study visa pag natanggap ka sa kung saang school dun na aaplayn mo.

I am currently here in NZ holding a visitor’s visa. Supposedly trying my luck, however, looking for a job here is difficult unless you are an IT expert.
NZ prioritize their citizens and those that have available working visa on hand. I am going home end of this month (June 2016). Accommodation is a bit costly here. 😦 so be sure when coming you are prepared with your finances or at least you have family here where you can stay for a while.

Depende sa reason mo and sa discretion ng immigration officer kung mabibigyan ka ng tourist visa.. Walang renewal ang limited visa, you need to apply for another one. So i guess same fees lang din gagastosin mo and same requirements.

If you’ll be staying for more than 8 hours, you’ll be needing a transit visa and if the plane in which you’re going to transfer is not affiliated with the airlines you’ve first boarded, transit visa is needed. Example cebu pacific from manila to sydney then quantas or jetstar to aukland NZ. Cebu pacific is not affiliated with any other airlines in sydney as far as i know so you cannot go directly to the transit lounge instead you may need to pass by their boarder and check in again to the airlines you are going to board bound to NZ.

Yes, they are all right. If taking Pal for Manila to Auckland flights, it has a 1 hour transit in Cairns, Australia. There is no need for you to get an Australia Tourist nor Transit visa as long as your transit is not more than 8 hours. It is proven since I already tried it last May 2016. Enjoy NZ. It is breathtaking. A real middle-earth experience.

Hi Jeff, I’d like to ask about your trip from Manila to Auckland. Was it comfortable to fly for over 10 hours with the Airbus 320 plane? Also, for the Cairns transit, they only need to check your cabin luggage after which the officers will then redirect the passengers to the transit lounge right?

Hi I applied online for visitor visa last Decemebr 31,2015 and completed my medical on January 20,2016. Then on January 25, St.Lukes Global City forwarded my medical to New Zealand Immigration. I’m really worried until now I haven’t received any updates/status regarding my application. Everytime I tracked, it says its still with the New Zealand Immigration. Hello. Nag apply na ako ng visitor visa for NZ and surrendered my passport. I just received an email asking for flight bookings and itinerary – which I do not have. I do not want to purchase tickets or book flights when I do not have a visa grant. How else can I avoid a visa denial without having to buy a ticket? You can make a simple itinerary like kung ano ang ma gusto mong puntahan sa NZ, as per booking, puwede ka pumunta sa travel agency and ask kung puwede ka nilang bigyan ng booking reservation (not booking a flight) May mga agencies na nagproprovide ng ganun. I hope this helps. 🙂

Hi! We booked a trip to Sydney this September for 15 days, we are also planning to visit Auckland (New Zealand) via Sydney, so Manila-Sydney;Sydney-Auckland;Sydney-Manila. Obviously we need to apply visa for both AUSTRALIA and NZ, however I’m not sure if we will be allowed to enter Sydney again since I’m pretty sure they will only issue a single entry visa. Hi APS, It depends kung anong type of visa ang ibibigay sa inyo for Australia. FYI, Australia does provide 1 year multiple entry visa. Sana iyon ang makuha ninyo. You can state to your visa application (if possible) that you want to visit Auckland as well para mas malaki ang chance na bigyan kayo ng multiple entry visa. Pag resident na siguro ung bf mo mas okay sigurong partnership. Otherwise mag visit visa ka nlng, pero mahirap padin masabi eh, msyadong doubtful ang NZ immigration, gaya nga nung sabi nung isang nagcomment na maghanap nlng ng mag aayos ng visa at bayaran, para sure.. mahirap magets ang NZ embassy dito pinas. Kelangan mong maprove nanstable ka talaga bago ka mabigyan ng visitor visa..

Hi everyone. I am planning to move to NZ in June. My boyfriend is a NZ citizen. I am currently working in Indonesia. We have just known each other for 6 months. He’s been to Indonesia to see me and he’s coming back again to spend time with me. He plans to be my sponsor thinking that it might help in my visa application. But I am not really sure what kind of visa to get. The ‘show-money’ or fund is not a problem I guess. I have enough for more than 6 months (I wish it’s enough). My main purpose of going there is to be with my bf and see if we can really be a married couple in the future. Then find a job eventually cause I want to stay independent. Hi may tanong lang ako nag apply kasi ng visit visa based on partnership kumpleto nmn lahat ng docs ko pati evdince ng funds tsaka proof ng relationship nmin student holder yung asawa ko sa new zealand bale level 7 sya pero hindi pasok sa skilled course pero visit visa lang nmn inapplyan ko nag submit ako nung jan 18 and then nakareceive ako ng txt sa piasi na nasa immigration na daw yung docs ko and email nila nareceive na din tpos jan. 22 nakareceive ulit ako ng message na iddeliver na daw sakin yung mga docs ko pero wala akong nareceive na twag mula sa kanila possible ba na decline yung application ko? Baka may ibang form dapat nanfill outab ka maliban sa visitor visa form.. Masyado stricto ang NZ immigration lalo na at mga pinoy din ang naandun.. Kung approve ka okay yun pero kung nadecline ka, sana may explanation sila dun kung bakit declined.. hindi lang kasi maganda na ibabalik agad nila ung papers mo ng hnd ka manlang kinontact.. Sa mga nabasa ko din na binalik agad ung papers nila ng hnd nacocontact ng officer eh declined sila. Nag eemail kasi sila pag granted ka

I applied tourist visa din to NZ…My american National invited me since Im his travel buddy…He will shoulder all our expenses…We have been to jeju-do korea last oct.2014 for a week vacation(no visas required in jeju) …Now we picked NZ for another vacation(10 days)…I am currently unemployed…I only got 36k in my account but sponsored naman po ako eh ng american friend ko..I attached his credit card statements but unfortunately they DECLINED my application…ano paba pwd ko gawin???pls help…we already booked plane ticket….

6 months talaga? we plan to apply again this week pero dagdagan ng American friend ko ang bank funds ko to make it 100,000 pesos..desperada na po kami laki kasi ng cancellation penalty ng ticket..sabi kasi my funds daw is relatively modest (36,000 pesos)…at tsaka I do not have strong commitments to return Phils. daw(Im not currently employed),its hard naman kasi to take off from work if employed ka tas yung reazon is “vacation” lang..May na approve kaya na visa kahit currently neither employed nor self employed basta mdyo malaki laki lang ang personal funds???
10 days lang naman sana vacation namin to NZ,my American friend is willing to impose a bond too but he do not know how.We send them email 3 days ago pero walang response..Is there such a limited visa kahit 10 days lang talaga hihingin namin…

mahirap masabi kung bat di ka nagrant, specially kung napresent mo naman lahat ng requirements na hinihingi sa checklist ng visitor visa form.. Pero kung sakaling may mga namiss kang important documents eh bka un ang dahilan.. Usually kasi kelangan mong maprove sa kanila na stable ka so i think kung may business ka kelangan mong magpakita ng proof, if employed you need certifications, and ung money sa bank hnd naman talaga kelangan kalakihan pero kung may proof of transactions kana dun eh isa ding factor yun.. Im am currently employed nor self employed..mas madali kasi mag bakasyon pag hindi ka employed..base kasi sa previous employment ko BDO and teaching (lahat contractual) eh umabsent nga lang ng isang araw ang hirap.kailangan pa mag sinungaling na nagkasakit..kaya after my employment which is today nalang ako nag aaply ng visa pero kailangan pala strong employment,wala naba ibang paraan??

Unfortunately, nakikita kasi ng immigration kung fresh iyong funds mo sa banko. Ibig sabihin kung bagong transfer lang ito. To show proof of funds, dapat matagal na sa bank iyong pera at hindi ito kakadeposit lang. I agree with the author, wait for few months. pasyal muna kayo sa ibang bansa na di required ang visa. Kapag madami ng tatak ang passport, it shows na talagang nagtatravel ka. Or if you really want to try again, you can but you have to prove na magtatravel lang talaga kayo. Mention places na gusto nyong puntahan. Draft an Itinerary na pupuntahan nyo in 10 days.
Lesson learned, next time po do not book flights hangga’t wala pa ang Visa, kase po hindi iyon enough reason ang booked flights para mabigyan ng Visa. Mahirap po talagang makakuha ng tourist visa mga unemployed Pinoys sa ibang countries because sadly they always think na hindi magtotour kundi maghahanap ng work.
Puwede ka ding mag request ng letter from your friend na siya lahat ng gagastos ng trip nyo instead of transferring money on your account.

Last year nag open ung holliday visa scheme ng NZ february 5 at 5 early in the morning, nagtry kami ng friend ko mag apply inabangan namin un and its an online application.. 100 slots lang ang aloted sa pilipinas sad to say kaya sobrang bilis mo dapat mag enter ng mga details na hinihingi dun sa application.. You also need credit card to pay online sa last step ng application i think it costs 6K ata nakimutan ko na.. Anyway, mabilis kong nafill upan ung application pero pag dating ko na dun sa last step ung mag babayad na eh nareject na ko ng system nila kasi puno na daw agad ung slots! In a matter of 10mins or less naubos na agad ung 100 slots, ganun kadami ang mga nag aaply dun at kelangan mo din ng mabilis na internet connection para magkaroon ka ng chance makapasok…

Nag-apply din ako nito lang last Feb 5 and same thing pagdating ko sa dulo na reject na ako hindi na ako umabot sa payment and when i checked the status of my application sabi “completed pending submission” ibig sabihin ba nito nde ako nakapasok? Hi! I just want to ask something po. I just won a trip to NZ from a contest na sinalihan ko, and ako po ang magpoprocess ng visa ko. I’m currently unemployed kasi fresh grad ako and wala pa rin po akong work experience. Ang source of funds ko lang po ay remittance from my parents. Though all-expense-paid naman po yung trip and may pocket money din po. I’ve only been abroad only once. 3 days lang naman po ang stay ko sa NZ if ever. Mahihirapan po kaya akong kumuha ng visa? Ganito, kapag ang naibigay sayo na visa is visitor visa, at pagdating mo dun eh nakakuha ka ng job offer, pwede kang dun nlng sa NZ mag apply ng work visa bsta complete ka sa requirements mo together with the job offer ng employer mo dun, pwede maconvert na work visa un.. Pero kung “limited visa” ang binigay sayo dito eh, pwede ka pa din makakuha ng job offer dun kung may kukuha sayo pero kelangan mo umuwi dito pinas para dito ilodge ung work visa application

if someone will sponsor you, then your sponsor has to provide you all the documents you need to submit to the embassy to support your application. hindi lang sponsorship letter kundi lahat ng kanyang legal docs and financial docs.

Let him fill out the sponsorship form and accomplish or provide nya din ung mga docus na hinihingi dun sa sponsorship form, then isend nya ung mga un sayo thru DHL siguro or i dont know kung okay ang scanned docus nlng.. Then you need to fill out also the INZ1017 form and accomplish ung mga checklist ng documents na kelangan mong iprepare. Pag complete kna ng docus, together with the sponsorship form ng bf mo eh ilodge mo na sa PIASI visa center located at Alegro Blg. Chino Roces Ext., Makati City

But what i can give you is their office address located at 3rd floor ALEGRO building, along Chino Roces Extension Road, Makati City. What was writen on the INZ1017 visitor visa form, sa may gitnang pages banda is 1000NZD per month ang minimum na funds mo dapat if your going there using own funds and with no sponsorship coming from a new zealand citizen or resident holder. 1000NZ in pesos is somewhat 30-32K. xray is needed isearch mo ang mga accredited clinics ng NZ dyan sa singapore. Mitch, 10,300 for work visa fee, 500 for processing fee ng PIASI kung saan mo ilodge ang application and 200 sa courier. So bale 11K lahat.. Pero please check sa website nila parang may bagong policy sila na levy fee depende sa anong work mo so madadagdagan pa yang 11 K na yan.. Take note hnd pwede cash ang bayad, it could either be atm debit, credit card or managers check.. If wala ka pang medical ang medical fee sa Nationwide health systems sa Makati is 8700 full medical un with xray na din, di ko lang alam kung nagtaas sila.. Sa st. Lukes nasa 10K ang full medical. yang dalawa lang na yan ang accredited ng NZ embassy.

Isa sa mga requirements sa pag apply ng visa sa NZ is evidence na may enough money ka na nakapangalan sa iyo, so kelangan talaga un para tumaas ang chance na mabigyan ka ng visa kelangan, ung bank cert and bank statements ang pwedeng mag prove na meron ka ngang ganung halaga under your name. Kung mag visit ka lang ng 1 week lang dun eh bsta ispecify mo kung anong gagawin mo dun sa 1 week kasi kung valid naman ung reason and di ka nila pag hihinalaan na mag ooverstay eh mabibigyan ka ng visa pero “limited visa” ang mabibigay sayo, instead na visitor visa, okay parin yan pag yan nakuha mo ibgsabihin lang nyan eh di ka pwede mag extend at kelangan mong makabalik ngnpinas bago mag expire ung visa.. Pero first thing eh mag open kna ng bank account madaliblang naman un habang mejo marami pang time 🙂

Hello everyone! I have a question regarding my tourist visa application. Nagpasa ako ng online tourist visa application last nov 20. Then nakareceive ako ng email from the embassy stating that my application was already received. Nov 24 pinick up ng air 21 yung documents ko at nareceive ng embassy last nov 26. Tumawag yung visa officer sakin nung december 2. Humihingi ng proof ng monthly income ko and interview na din (I declared my catering business) so nasend ko yung hinihingi nya nung december 3. Sabi nung visa officer early next week daw ang decision nya about my application kasi I asked him during the phone call. So meaning monday – wednesday ngayong week yun. Until now wala akong narereceive na kahit anong feedback galing sa kanila. Ano kayang pwedeng gawin? Can I call them? Anyone na naeexperience din tong naeexperience ko? Thanks a lot. Hindi ko alam mitch kung pano mangyayari ung ganun na naandun sya tapos dito mag aaply ng work visa.. Pag nakahanap kasi sya ng work dun eh magbibigay ng job offer ung employer sa kanya, tapos pag may job offer na sya eh saka palang sya makakaaply ng work visa. Kapag dun sya sa NZ nag apply ng work visa eh malamang hnd yan papayagan kasi nga naka limited visa lang sya. Ung visa na yan is limited lang sa purpose ng ipinunta nya dun tska ang alam ko eh hnd nya yan pwede iextend 1 month lang maximum na stay. So ang pwede nya lang talaga gawin is pumunta dun maghanap ng work at pag may nakuha eh depende sa kanya kung gusto nya hintayin ung job offer kung mahihintay pa nya pero pag aabutin na sya ng expiration ng limited visa nya eh magexit na sya at ipa mail nlng sa employer ung job offer. Hnd sya kasi pwede magextend more than a month or else madedeport sya.. Makakapag apply ka lang ng work visa pag may job offer kana. Kung general visitor visa sana ang nakuha nya eh pwedeng dun na mag apply ng work visa. Pero dahil limited kelangan talaga umuwi nyan.

uh depende mitch, kung may strong ties sya sa NZ like relatives or friends na dineclare sa application form and makita ng immigration officer na mag sstay lang talaga sya dun for the said purpose eh mabibigyan sya. however be prepared kasi pwede ding idegrade ung visitor visa nya sa limited visa kapag sa tingin ng immigration officer eh hnd nya masatisy ung tinatawag nilang “bonafide visitor”. anyway pag nadegrade ung visitor nya ang ioofer ng officer is ung limited visa which is makakapunta kapa din sa NZ on your expressed purpose and hnd ka pwede mag extend. maximum of 1 month stay ka lang dun and kelangan umexit. kahit kumpleto ang papers depende sa officer kung mabibigyan nga ng visitor visa. may iba na nabibigyan kahit less than 100K ung show money.

Ung pinsan mo nandito pa sa pinas or nasa NZ na? mahal talaga lahat ng agency bsta kinuha mo sila for study purposes kasi mahal din ang tuition fee ng mga schools dun dependa kung anong pag aaralan mo ang bayad.. Pero mas mapapamura ka kung di nlng kukuhs ng agency. mag oonline apply nlng sa kung saang school ka mag aaral then bayaran sya then gamitin un pag lodge ng student visa dito pinas, kayang makapnta dun kahit walang agency..

Hello po. Nag apply po kami ng tourist visa ni hubby last Oct 9, 2015. We requested po for 2 months visa. We provided the ff. passport, bank certificate with amount of 53k, Coe, itr, nbi, birth certificate, invitation letter from my husband’s sister, bank statement ni sister, nz visa ni sister, employment contract ni sister, brgy. business clearance and proof of ownership ng car. I think nabigay nman po nmen lahat ng need nila. We already received an email last Oct. 12 that application was received by Nz immigration Manila. However, when my hubby do follow up after 10 days as per dun sa sumagot ng phone NSA New Zealand po dW yun application nmen at dadating nlang yun. Been almost 3 weeks of waiting na po. Sobrang paranoid na. Tingin Nyo po Kaya may kulang pa sa ni provide nmen or we need to wait talaga, ang Tagal kse d na ko mka tulog. 😦 Thanks po

Ruth kung pupunta ka dun as visitor eh idownload mo ung INZ1017 na application form, nandun nakalagay ung mga requirements. Kung may magsponsor na kiwi let him fill out also ung form for sponsorship i forgot kung anong code nun. So after nya mafill out ung sponsorship form eh kelangan nya ipadala un sayo and together with the other requirements ay isasama mo un sa pag lodge sa visa processing center

Yes, parang ganun na nga, actually i’v been to HK and SG na before but that was year 2000 and 2002 pa, so hindi ko na nilagay yun kc sa tagal parang immaterial na din dahil nakailang palit n ako ng passport. Yup when i got my visa, and multiple entry naman ito, i decided na mag resign na din, kc malaki nman ang chance ko na makahanp ng work, dahil open nman ang visa ko for extension, and 2 months after i got my visa dun palang ako lumipad papunta dito nz, graduate ako ng accounting, and i worked in ortigas, 2 years ago, i took caregiving course, on purpose, because of my plan in going here in NZ, dahil sa medical field lng nman ang may chance na makahanap ng work dito, either nurse or caregiver, actually lahat nman ng bagsak dito caregiver.. Kahit RN kapa jn sa atin. At kahit papano may chance ka din na ma PR.
I need to work as a volunteer in a facility dahil importante talaga na masanay ka sa environment ng mga facility dito, actual dealing with residents, cares, using of hoist etc. marami talaga akong natutunan n hindi ko na encounter sa caregiving school na pinasukan ko. And that knowledge was a big help for me specially during the interview when im applying for a health care assistant.

Sorry ngayun lng nkrply, sa mga nagtatanong, yes meron akong sponsor which is my cousin, requirements i submitted,
1. proof of funds, i submitted only bank certificate,
2.then booked and confirmed itenrary, makakakuha k nun sa mga travelling agency with service charge of 500, booked and confirmed sya within 10days so kahit magverify ang VO (kung magverify man) walang problem,
3. Certificate of employment with compensation
4. Certificate of approved leave of absence from employer
5.authenticated sponsorship form for temporary entry
6. VisitOrs visa application form
7.valid passport
then nn nalodge ko na ang application ko, after 7 days natawagan na ako.
I was interviewed by a lady visa officer, mga more than 5minutes din, dont be too much chatty, kasi ang tanong iikot lang din sa sagot mo, so kun ano ang tanong yun lang ang sagot kasi before the end of the interview bibigyan ka nman ng chance na magsalita pa if you want to add more information or anything na makakapagpa convince kay visa officer na babalik ka ng pinas,
Her questions was.. Why new zealand, what is your purpose, your current job, how do you acquire your funds, about my sponsor, .. Jobs, status in NZ other relatives in NZ etc. Just be confident lang, ako nung una kinakabahan lalo na nung naghihintay ako ng tawag for interview, nakakaparanoid, everytime na mag ring ang cp ko, kinakabahan na agad ako, then naisip ko bakit ako kakabahan, wala nman akong kasalanan, at nasa pilipinas pa ako teritoryo ko to hahahaha, and besides i only applied for 58days visit so kung anot ano man ang mangyari, hindi ako manghihinayang sa gastos infact its FREE courier lang nman ang binayaran ko which is 700pesos.
Nga pala tinawagan ako ni lady visa officer as early as 8:20 in the morning, so since naglalakad n ako that time papunta sa work, obviously very inconvinient ang pag uusap namin dahil napaka ingay ng background , she told me na wht is the most convinient time na tawagan nya ako, sabi ko after 20minutes kasi 3hakbang n lng nman nasa ofis na ako. So ayun the interview following day 2pm binalik na ang passport ko with attached visa, multiple entry for 2 months.
If ang visa mo ay single entry or multiple entry visa, after 15 days upon entering new zealand, the nz immigration will send you an email, asking you if you are interested to extend your stay in new zealand, if so kailangan mo ng ayusin ang extension mo within 30days.
So thats what i did, same process again,i submitted of course valid passport, sponsorship form with supporting docs ng sponsor mo, then visitors visa form, pero wala na yung mga proof of funds, then kailangan n magpa xray, kasi nag apply n ako and maximize ko yung 9months stay, if more than 6 months kc kailangan mo na magpa xray na sa accredited clinic nila then you need to pay nzd250 para sa xray, then for visitors visa extension application magbabayad k nman ng nzd167
So nagstart n ako nagvolunteer sa isang health care facility, pra magka experience sa new zealand, plus kailangan ko din masanay na makipagconverse sa mga kiwi, dahil susmaryosep ang hirap intindihin ng mga accent nila. Ang mga ingles nila nakakaloka, Ang bibilis pa nila magsalita. after a month, job hunting n ako, mahirap mag apply kc ang kailngan nila may work visa, so ako im seeking for a job offer pa, hindi ko na mabilang kung ilan CV ang na submit ko, mapa online o mapa walk in, tyagaan talaga, sa pagttyaga nakakuha din ako ng job offer 2 pa nakuha ko, namili n lng ako,
then another file of application nnman, this time work visa application naman, support docs, job offer, your credentials, NBI importante, and general medical, valid passport. Hindi ko n masyado mtandaan ang mga exact amount n binayaran ko, bsta i paid nzd250 for work visa application sa medical i guess nzd570,
So after 10working days nakuha ko na passport ko with attached work visa..
so all in all, naging 3 ang visa sticker sa passport ko, my 2months multiple visa, then visa extension, lastly work visa.
So mga gusto magpunta ng NZ at makapag work, tyagaan lang talaga, at sympre una sa lahat pray, pray, pray.

Share ko lang experience ko with visitor visa under partnership category. Sadly it was declined. I submitted all the necessary documents. Pero ang reason ng case officer ko insufficient ung “living together” namin. Kasi 7 months pa lang kami ng partner ko. And weve been together in person for 18 days only. Yun. 😦 pero ngayon mag apply ulit ako ng visa. General tourist visa na lang. Hopefully ma approve.

hello there, nag aaply kasi ako ng visitor visa general category. U have provided all the necessary documents. Ilang months ba normally ang granted para mag stay? 3 weeks lang kasi ang advise ng immigration na nag a assist sa akin na e declare ko daw na stay but i really wanted to stay longer. @cupcake..depende po yan kung ilang months ang inapplyan nyo. Makikita naman po yan sa documents ng visitors visa, yung least is 3months stay or you could go for 6months stay pero higpit ang immigration ngayun lalo na’t sa mga first time traveller to nz. Usually gina-grant nila ang ang least stay pero pwede naman ma extend yung visa mo pag andito ka na depende rin sa conditions na binigay nila sayo.

@MJ.. Hi sis, base on my experience sa immigration dito sa NZ, mahigpit talaga cla dito sis. Kahit may mag sponsor sayo, may possibilities pa rin na ma decline ang application lalo na’t hindi pa kayo nagkikita ng bf mo, need talaga nila ng proof na nagkikita na kayo sa pinas. Pero try your luck sis, naransan na yan ng friend ko dito nag apply xa ng 6mos. visitors visa pero di rin cla nagkita ng bf nya dito sa NZ, kaya na decline sa immigration. Hope this helps. @cupcake if not more than 60days ang pag stay mo sa nz free ang visa application fee, ako ng nag apply ako, 58 days ang nilagay ko, so courier lng ng binayaran ko which is 700, the lady visa officer grant me a multiple entry visa for 2momtjs yun, at iyon kasi ang madaling i aapply under general category. ang advntage ng ganun visa hindi ka na required magpakita ng prrof of funds mo sa immigration at hindi ka din required ng return ticket, kaya one way lang ang binili ko. Ng nandito n ako sa NZ na extend ko ang visa ko ng another 9 months, so ang laki ng chance ko na nakapaghanap ng work, ayun nabigyan ako ng job offer so awa ni Lord eto nabigyan na ako ng work visa.

Kaso nagiipon palang kami and wala pa kami experience mag travel sa ibang bansa kaya plano namin mag travel muna at least 2 asian countries like hongkong and singapore or korea. @Ella..wala pong direct flight frm phils to nz..usually may stop po talaga sa australia. And, about sa transit visa, you don’t need to get that type of visa kasi transit visa-free ang country natin at stop over ka lang naman dun sa australia for your next flight to nz, so no worries about that.

hi..it is ok if the dependents will not declare in application form..my husband is OFW in singapore and he planned to visit his brother in NZ this year before return to Phils. Kung kailangan ilagay ang dependent need din ba yung passport nila even we’re not travel with him.

Hi! My brother is applying for an essential skill visa sa NZ, complete na lahat ang rqmts except for one, a police certificate from Dubai bcoz he worked there for 8 yrs. first step is to obtain a finger print specimen sa Nbi so pumunta sya sa NBI at sabi sa Kanya mag secure muna ng endorsement letter from the NZ embassy. I called the PIASI and told me na di Puedeng mag request Kung dipa na lodge ang application. Pano yun e isa nga sya sa rqmt? Lastly, paano po mag set ng appointment sa NZ embassy para Mai lodge na application . Di daw tumatanggap ng walk in . Salamat po.

Hi! Question po.. i will apply for Visitor Visa next week but purpose is for CAP (study less than 12 weeks). all of my documents are ready. Do i have to provide guarantee of accommodation talaga? I booked 3 nights muna sa isang backpackers hostel then saka ako lilipat sa homestay pagdating ko dun kung makahanap. I will bring funds amounting to 7-8kNZD. Yan din ang nakalagay sa bank statement ko.
tatanggapin ba ng embassy yung booking ko for 3 nights or baka kailangan Longer than 3 nights? Take note: funds ko is more than enuf for 3-4mos.

I’m planning to visit NZ at kukuha po akong visitor’s visa. Tanong ko lang po dun sa secondary documents ano kaya pedeng ipresent kung currently unemployed ako at wala namang business. Yung sa “good character” kumuha po ba kayong NBI clearance? Dun po sa “financial capacity” mga less than 100k kaya pede na po? Sa opinyon nyo lang po. Haha. Thank you. 🙂

normally one month ang processing days nila. approval or denial of a visa depends sa circumstances mo, that is, documents being submitted. normally, if walang problem sa docs mo, you are given. ang nadedeny naman ay yung may problems. and its up to the visa officer to appreciate the documents being submitted.

1. sayang ang ticket if madeny ka kaya make sure u have complete documents to support your visa application

Hi. a cousin of mine has a consultancy firm in Auckland, New Zealand. I asked her if she can help my hubby who is a welder find work there. She said she can, and to prepare 280K pesos, that’s all-in. She mentioned salary and house rental PER WEEK, not per month. Ganun po ba talaga dun?

auckland is a bit cheaper than sydney or melbourne but i dont have any idea about working there. i was in auckland for a holiday/vacation 😉

But if u have an aussie visa already, I believe they will give u nz visa. So better get aussie visa first before applying for nz visa 😉

@Ang & @Mark27 – Actually, Immigration doesn’t recommend that people buy plane tickets until they’re granted visas. Travel reservations and bookings are acceptable at the visa application stage. I know because I used to work for INZ.

@RA i have been denied of a visitors visa to australia last year, will it affect my application in NZ now? i was already interviewed by the immigration officer, and the next day i received a txt saying that my passport/docs. was already dispatched to the courier. it only took 5 days. is this a good sign? thanks.
